The Cycle Stops With You: 3 Ways to Stop Feeding Emotional Eating

Emotional eating is a concern of many women across the nation. It is no surprise with food being at the forefront of most gatherings, rewards, and commercials that we have such a fixation on food. For many women, the thought of not turning to food for comfort seems impossible.

Winegrape growing is nothing new to LangeTwins Winery and Vineyards. As part of a generational farm family dating back to the 1870s, twin brothers Randall and Brad Lange grew up with the family passion for farming. With determination, they have made their ranch a benchmark vineyard property within the Lodi, California appellation.

The LangeTwins family is generational because of its focus on sustainable farming. More than three decades ago, the twins made improvements in and around the vineyards that benefited the entire ecosystem. Today, the family continues to show considerable initiative both at its vineyard locations and the winery.

After focusing on growing wine grapes for nearly a century, the family entered the winemaking business seven years ago. LangeTwins Winery showcases the family’s passion for growing wine grapes by crafting approachable wines from its estate vineyards under the leadership of Winemaker David Akiyoshi.

David, a 25-year veteran of Robert Mondavi Winery, believes in true varietal expression and the relationship wine shares with food. This philosophy, combined with colleague Winemaker Karen Birmingham’s focus on crafting welcoming wines with varietal complexity, has built an impressive portfolio of estate, reserve, and single barrel (limited-release) wines. Recently joining the group is a unique and jammy blend called Caricature. Setting conventional rules aside, Caricature captures the most luscious traits of Cabernet Sauvignon and Old Vine Zinfandel, creating a deliciously juicy and easy drinking wine.

LangeTwins recently opened its sleek tasting room, The Press Room, to the public. Groups desiring a private tour and tasting are required to make appointments in advance. Those unable to make it to the winery, can become part of the LangeTwins Winery and Vineyards family by joining the wine club, which offers a 20 percent discount, invitations to release parties, and other celebrations.
