The Cycle Stops With You: 3 Ways to Stop Feeding Emotional Eating

Emotional eating is a concern of many women across the nation. It is no surprise with food being at the forefront of most gatherings, rewards, and commercials that we have such a fixation on food. For many women, the thought of not turning to food for comfort seems impossible.

Ideally situated along a particularly scenic portion of Highway 29, Twin Pine Casino & Hotel in Middletown, California offers wine tourists the fun and luxury of a premier casino, hotel, and restaurant in the heart of northern California wine country. This splendid location—nearly halfway between the wineries of Calistoga in northern Napa Valley and the wineries of Lake County—sets the stage for plenty of wonderful wine touring opportunities. But it’s more than location that’s making Twin Pine such a popular place to stay. Said to be the only wine-themed casino destination in the United States, Twin Pine Casino & Hotel attracts discerning guests who like to blend their love of casino life and wine together.

When it comes to gaming, Twin Pine has 25,000 square feet of space dedicated to slot machines and table games including: blackjack, three-card poker, flop poker, and live poker. Texas Hold’em Tournaments are held Thursday through Sunday evenings, and a wide range of other tournaments and giveaways round out the casino’s calendar.

Next to the casino floor, The Grapevine Bar & Lounge provides free live weekend entertainment every week, five high definition viewing screens for sporting events, and an impressive list of award-winning regional wines and microbrews. A great list of appetizers is available too. But when one needs more than munchies, Twin Pine’s Manzanita Restaurant is ready with favorite comfort foods in a casual setting. The Manzanita serves breakfast, lunch, and wonderful dinners featuring signature dishes like apple glazed pork chops beef stroganoff paired with local wines.

In an effort to showcase the wines of the region, Twin Pine selects a different winery each month as its Winery of the Month. The program includes a “meet and greet” wine tasting and a prix fixe wine pairing dinner prepared by Manzanita’s chef. The casino also has a full service banquet area, The Harvest Room, which accommodates private parties, and the Marketplace Express, Twin Pine’s 24 hour signature coffee and baked goods bar. The hotel also offers a room service menu 24/7.

When booking a guestroom at Twin Pine, the only standard is deluxe. Both king and double queen deluxe rooms provide 550 square feet of living space with a sumptuous décor featuring 50-inch plasma televisions, mini-refrigerators, in-room safes, four-cup coffee makers, irons with ironing boards, and hair dryers. Luxury suites are double the size, featuring 1,100 square feet with the same amenities and more—two televisions, mini-refrigerators and coffee makers, plus a dining area, living area with wet bar, Jacuzzi tub, glass shower, and queen-size sleeper sofa. All guestrooms are non-smoking.

Twin Pine Casino & Hotel embraces wine country in every possible way. Beyond fun gaming, inspiring wine lists, tempting culinary offerings, and well-appointed accommodations, there’s a fun place to shop. Off the Vine Gift Shop is fully stocked with a captivating assortment of hard-to-find gift items ranging from wine accessories to Native American jewelry.

As the nation’s only wine-themed casino destination, Twin Pine Casino & Hotel is dedicated to enhancing the knowledge and love of local wines in all of its guests by providing an ideal location and environment for gaming, tasting, and appreciating the good things in life.
