How to Keep the Magic Alive: 5 Ways to Energize Your Marriage

Marriage isn’t a cake that you put in the oven and check on in 15 years. You need to be an active participant in cultivating, nurturing, and energizing your relationship with your partner. This is particularly important given that American Psychological Association has found that 40-50% of first marriages end in divorce and 60-70% of second marriages end in divorce. Having a strong, satisfying marriage over time will have an unparalleled impact on your day-to-day happiness and long-term feelings of well-being.

The Cycle Stops With You: 3 Ways to Stop Feeding Emotional Eating

Emotional eating is a concern of many women across the nation. It is no surprise with food being at the forefront of most gatherings, rewards, and commercials that we have such a fixation on food. For many women, the thought of not turning to food for comfort seems impossible.

For more than 150 years, Paso Robles Inn has provided guests a pleasurable, relaxing oasis with natural hot springs at the heart of Paso Robles’ charming downtown. Now, on the eve of the town’s 125th anniversary, the historic boutique hotel is putting the finishing touches on an extensive two-year renovation.

There’s something new yet inherently lovely about nearly every part of the property, which despite its proximity to the tasting rooms and restaurants of downtown Paso Robles, is quiet and serene. The beautifully landscaped grounds embrace several buildings linked by charming brick-lined pathways that lead to a pleasing variety of accommodations available at a range of price points— from traditional guest rooms to deluxe mineral spa rooms, to luxurious two-room suites—all boasting new furniture and décor.

As one exciting part of the renovation, the distinctive identity of an individual regional winery was bestowed on 18 of the hotel’s deluxe mineral spa rooms. After each of these rooms underwent a top-to-bottom makeover including an updated bathroom, new amenities and furnishings, and a new spa tub, each winery partner provided creative finishing touches (like wine barrel chairs, real grape vines, coat racks, and glass lamps filled with wine corks) to its namesake suite.

Beyond the guest rooms, the majestic Historic Ballroom is refreshed, and even the landscaped grounds hold new discoveries. The new chef’s garden planted this spring is bursting with ingredients found in the inventive dishes of the Paso Robles Inn Steakhouse’s new executive chef, Paul Arangorin.

Chef Paul, a graduate of the California Culinary Academy Le Cordon Bleu and winner of Sunset’s 2012 Savor the Central Coast Battle of the Bay Competition, is dedicated to expressing the flavors and bounty of Paso Robles.

Now, more than ever, Paso Robles Inn provides an ideal blend of modern comfort and historic charm in the heart of downtown Paso Robles.

The guest rooms have recently undergone a top-to-bottom makeover, including the bathrooms.
