With the deepest respect for the synchronicity of coincidence and the series of events that brought their winery to life, three partners founded Eleven Eleven Wines in 2013. Ellie Anest, Aurelien Roulin, and Carol Vassiliadis can literally trace the origin of their business back to the air, where Ellie and Aurelien met on an international flight. When it came time to name their enterprise, Eleven Eleven was the perfect name, because it symbolizes every surprising, awe-inspiring, or fated moment that awaits everyone.

Every bottle of classic, elegant Brian Carter Cellars wine tells the story of one man’s passion and the teamwork it takes to maintain his standard for crafting exemplary European-style blends. Brian is considered a pioneer in Washington State, where he has been an advocate for developing the quality and quantity of its varietals in many ways. Today, Brian Carter Cellars sources more than 20 varieties from more than a dozen different vineyards throughout central and eastern Washington. Each of these varietals is crafted separately in a small lot to fully express the distinctive characteristics of the grape and its vineyard. Brian then applies his master blending skills to handcraft a stunning portfolio of beautifully balanced blends that taste wonderful at release and also have the ability to improve with age.

After 35 years of making wine in Washington State, Brian Carter knows quite a bit about the state’s viticultural depth and range. He’s spent years in the vineyards and winery, so he knows that to create balance in his wines he must have balance in the vines. Brian Carter Cellars sources more than 22 varietals from over a dozen different vineyards throughout central and eastern Washington. "In warmer years, our cooler sites typically yield better fruit and in cooler years, the warm site vineyards tend to shine," Brian says. "By sourcing fruit from both types of vineyards we can always find gems and create wines of balance in the fruit, acid, and tannins."
