“Julia is so sensitive I can’t say anything to her without it causing a big blow-up!” exclaimed Julia’s mom. “How am I supposed to raise this kid when I can’t even talk to her?!”

Julia’s mother had a good point. She needed to be able to "parent" her daughter without worrying what the fallout would be. But Julia was typical of many teenagers who feel entitled to impose their moods or frustrations on others simply because they feel, well, moody or frustrated. Shrewd and savvy, these teenagers have learned to exploit their parents’ wishes to avoid a bigger, louder and messier argument.

We are living in a unique time right now, and it is providing many opportunities for learning, growth, and really listening to one another about racism. Difficult conversations must take place amongst people to bring about awareness and a better understanding of what is really going on, on a macro and micro level. Although we think we know our significant others, sometimes a sit-down conversation is what we need to do to understand our own opinions and perspectives better.

Wives Who Seek Affairs Usually Still Love Their Husbands
This past weekend at the 109th Annual Meeting of the American Sociological Association in San Francisco, Eric Anderson, a professor at the University of Winchester and Chief Science Officer at Ashley Madison, the website that promotes infidelity, revealed that he has been secretly reading the conversations of women looking for extra-marital partners. In total, he says he looked at over 4,000 conversations from 100 women, and suggests
