Take Yourself On a Date

Sometimes, we all need the occasional night to ourselves. Some of you may be thinking, "A night to myself, what is that?"

We often have those nights where we are home zoning out watching TV, eating and feeling bored. We don’t need more of those nights. This is not the kind of night I am referring to.

Some of you may say, "A night to myself, that isn’t going to be fun. If I go out alone people will think I am weird or will assume I am unlovable and lonely."

Date Night Becoming a Drag? Don’t Nag!

A coach sits on the sidelines, calling out directions and instructions to his team as they run the ball all over the field:

"Don't do that, don't throw long, you dummies… ah, how could you do that! That's so stupid, don't run without looking where you're going! Don't you know anything, you don't make up your own rules as you go along, don't keep making the same mistake over and over."

The Importance of a Date Night Plan for Parents

We gravitate toward the same activities, groups of friends and rotations of the same restaurants.

Being a creature of habit is comfortable. It provides a degree of continuity and stability to our lives. However, being a creature of habit may make a marriage particularly uncomfortable, so much so that it could be the difference between a marriage thriving and failing.

New Year’s Resolutions for Your Marriage

An optimist stays up until midnight to see the New Year in. A pessimist stays up to make sure the old year leaves. ~ Bill Vaughan

It is the time of year when many of us make New Year's resolutions. The most popular include things like losing weight or getting fit, getting the finances in order, organizing our life, an effort to quit smoking and reduce or stop drinking and even try to have more fun. I even read that fifty-percent of Americans say their New Year's resolution is to spend more time with family and friends.
