We know that couples have been getting married at an older age (29.0 years old for men and 26.6 years old for women, according to a November 2013 report from the U.S. Census Bureau; and that the average age of women giving birth to their first child has risen steadily over the past four decades, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
