Are Your Money Mindsets Compatible?

Valentine’s Day is thought of as the most romantic day of the year. For millions of couples, it’s the day to follow Cupid’s arrow and get engaged and become newlyweds. Yes, love may be in the air this month, though it’s important to keep your feet on the ground and look to the future.

Money is one of the biggest causes of marital strife, so do yourselves a favor and have that hard discussion around finances while planning your future, not boots-deep in it. Sit down and exchange a different kind of commitment: to talking about money promises.

Here’s the Mindset You Need to Great Sex

There is a mindset that many people agree with in terms of sex: it is believed to be instant chemistry from the very beginning. As we drink the wine of romance we become drunk in the belief that sex, even in long-term relationships, is easy, tension-free, and uninhibited.

It’s kind of ironic that our willpower society encourages us to manifest our careers and health through deliberate work ethic, but tells us our sex lives must only rise in the spontaneity of the moment.

Fitness is a Feeling

Do you remember the last time you felt strong? How about powerful? Fierce? We feel them in our bodies as physical sensations and flood our minds with thoughts that reinforce how we feel. Sometimes I might feel strong following a presentation or asserting my needs successfully in relationship.

Shift Your Perspective!

How do you see yourself? As a hero or a victim? In any given life circumstance, you can see yourself either way.

I recently moved into my new home. As is often the case with a "new" home, that is to say new to me, although built in the mid 1960s, it has what is euphemistically referred to as a few "issues." As in, I was scheduled to leave town for work first thing Friday morning, and Wednesday night, both toilets in my house ceased to function. This mattered greatly, as the puppy-sitter who was booked to take care of my beloved dogs in my absence could not be expected to stay over-night without a functioning toilet, and it being a holiday weekend, I would not be able to find a place to board them last-minute.
