The 7 Gifts That Give You Everything

Nothing enters into this world except through the process of giving. If we don't give, there can't be more. If you want more to come into your life, you must let more life come out of you!

Think of yourself as a power plant. A power plant doesn't receive energy it generates it. Even the word human comes from a Sanskrit term for "man" that means: The dispenser of divine gifts. That's who you are, that's why you came here—you really are a gift to this world!

But there are many forms of giving, and you must engage all of them to fully activate and create unlimited abundance in your life and, more importantly, with the people close to you.

With that, I’ve put together the seven gifts of the divine dispenser, which you can apply to your everyday life.

The Artful Act of Giving

Much like the creative inspiration that flows through paint brushes and words of poetry, giving is an artful expression of caring for someone or something beyond ourselves.

Most of us learn the art of giving in our childhoods. I remember how my mother coordinated a neighborhood bakeoff so we could take sweet holiday treats to our local nursing home. With several other families, we delivered trays of goodies and sang carols for the residents. I remember how I felt as I witnessed gratitude through the eyes of elderly patients, some of whom could not speak.

How To Make Philanthropy Fit Into Your Financial Plans

One of the universal truths is that, while money can help meet your needs and provide you with the basic necessities of life, it can’t make you happy.

However, it can be a powerful weapon of self-satisfaction when used the right way, such as through philanthropic endeavors.  And since April 15 is around the corner, it is a good time to contemplate how you can integrate charitable giving into your tax-planning strategies.

Maximizing on Holiday Moments

I don’t know about anyone else, but I absolutely love this time of the year. The holidays easily fill us with a sense of love, goodwill and a child-like anticipation that is second to none. Particularly, if our childhood experiences were positive, we are usually at pains to try to re-create these warm, fuzzy feelings that we remember so well. In the context of our individual homes and families, the holidays present that opportunity to express feelings of love and appreciation to those with whom we live.

How to Tell Your Kids Santa’s on a Budget

Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells, Santa pawned his sleigh…

It looks like Jolly Old Saint Nick may be riding bareback on Rudolph the 25th with his bag of goodies. For many families, Christmas may just not be the same this year, and the cutbacks have certainly reached the North Pole. As a parent, you may be facing the fact that you just can’t spend as much this year. And, because of the current financial circumstances, I can only imagine that there are going to be a number of parents feeling guilt, failure, sadness and worthlessness because of their inability to come through.
