  Accessing our deepest erotic selves can be as simple as tapping into the power of our own voice, exploring the range of sounds we create in the throes of intimacy and getting comfortable uttering dirty words. Silencing our sexual sounds is an odd and yet remarkably common holdover from our earliest sexual experiences that can shroud our lovemaking for decades.

With a click of a mouse, you can do a simple web search and discover that healthy sex—is actually healthful! You will find that sex can be good for your heart. You will also find that sex lowers blood pressure, reduces risk of prostate cancer, improves mood, sleep and even complexion!

Sex, it would seem is the ultimate mind/body exercise. In fact, when sex is "healthy," we could go so far as to say that it improves family relations, happiness at work and overall well-being.

Sexual dissatisfaction is one of the top reasons cited when we leave our relationships. It is also one of this life’s most worthy challenges to take on; not only for the meaning and pleasure it can bring to our marriages, but also for the very real health benefits that a satisfying sex life bestows on our well-being. I also believe that learning how to satisfy our sex drive and grow our comfort with our erotic selves is a window, which reveals our deepest humanity.

With 24/7 access to news and an ever-growing schedule of political talk shows, the old rule that politics has no place at the dinner table has become obsolete. While most everyone has their own political view, conversation at the dinner table doesn't have to turn into a rousing free for all—unless you happen to enjoy it!

There are courteous ways to navigate the dangerous waters of a political discussion. Here are a few of my etiquette tips when table talk turns political.

I hang out in schools every day. I hang out in public schools, private schools, child care centers and preschools every… single… day. One of my biggest concerns is the lack of genuine encounter between adults and children. I hear robotic language. I hear slow, labored speech as if to say you just don’t get it. I hear fake, soupy language. I hear humor, but it is sarcastic humor, which is hard for children to understand so it looks mean. Then sometimes I hear genuine, joyful language among adults because trust is at the forefront of the thought. They have put other’s thoughts and feeling before their own.

The other day, I caught a rerun episode of ABC’s hit television show "Modern Family" and was reminded of something that I’ve heard a lot about lately: The episode took place over the Valentine’s holiday and one of the husband and wife couples, Phil and Claire, decided to spice up their evening by going to a local hotel and pretending to be their sexy alter-egos, who were just meeting for the first time. Of course, sitcom-worthy hilarity ensued and something that the rest of us normal folks would only pray never to have happen to us. But, in reality, they were partaking in something that couples do all of the time—role playing.
